Here it is, my completed Alice tag book

I know this is old news, but I wanted to show my extended Alice tag book originally from Karla's Cottage. I now have 13 tags in this book, but some of the tags are hidden in there.  I was so excited about it that I enlisted some of the people involved to do some more tags to swap with me.  I made six more, sent out some and kept some for myself.  I was so lucky to get to know more amazing paper crafters.
I got these beautiful fun tags from Kimberly Laws artjoystuff.blogspot.com She is amazing with her paper crafts and everyone should check out her blog and Etsy shop.
I recieved these amazingly beautiful artsy tags from Ruth at throughmygardensgate.blogspot.com Check out her blog too. She is an amazing artist as well. I feel very priveleged to have a bit of art work from both these ladies.

Altered impressionism Art.

I love Impressionism. Especially from the 1800's. This has always been one of my favorites and I had a little print of it. I jade a little wall decor for my creative place. The tiles which spell out my name are from Laurie Jackson. "Indulge your shelf"
Those are microbeads. It is one of my favorite embellishments.

new easel decoration

S
Summer is fast approaching, especially where I live.  It feels like summer to most people out there.  It is already up in the low 90's.  So I needed to do another paper decoration for my sweet little sterling silver easel.
I love this little silver easel so much I just keep making new decorations to sit on it. I am crazy about butterflies lately. I am not sure why, though. I was never into them before.  This sure evokes the felling of summer.

More Alice Tags.

If you participated in the Alice tag book
from Karla's Cottage, and you want a couple more for your book, then
this is for you! I really wanted to make some more tags. I just
got caught up in the whole thing, and liked my tag book so much I
wanted to add to it. So I made 12 more. Two different designs.
If you would like to make and send me two more, I will send you
two/each different and then I will be
happy as can be. One reason we
do all this stuff is to get to know other crafters and
bloggers with the same interests. I have enjoyed the blogging
world so much for this reason. Please respond,
with a comment on this post. I have this listed on both blogs,
and I only have 4 sets. I am keeping one and sending one set
to Karla who got this all started. She just worked so hard on about 80 books.

New Mommy advice book

My daughter had a couple of baby showers in
different towns. I made her this advice book,
which people attending, gave their advice on
little pieces of paper. I will put it all together
for her for a sweet remembrance and some
good advice.

Antique Store Stock

It is a little secret of mine and a close friend, that there is an antique shop, where you can find antique store stock materials for crafting. These items come from store stock from mostly Germany and a little bit from Japan, from the 1930's to 50's. I can't stand it, I really
like this stuff a lot. Especially the silhouettes. I can't wait to come up with a really cool craft
to use them on. Also the gold foil stars are really exciting. I also love the velvety leaves. Can't wait to go back and I will have to set aside some $$ for each time I am in the vicinity of this place. What a great find! P.S. This place is not online!

New Paper Crafts

I just made these medallions which are ready for a lovely craft, or maybe a scrapbook page or even a card. Don't know what yet, but I will probably post these in my Etsy shop. I then found these bobbin spools in my stash, and had seen one that was decorated, so I decided to try doing just that. They have patterned paper, pages from an old book made into flowers along with satin ribbon roses, clunny lace and tiny baskets and bird tags attached. The lovely bird tags came from Petite Paperie on Etsy.

A very nice swap.

Yesterday I recieved this very lovely card and tag as a swap I did with Diane Knott. She is a designer and water color artist extroadinare, and I really feel it a privilege that I have some of her pieces. I love her vintage style and she does everything up perfect. She has had many of her designs published into fabrics and she just has quite a list of accomplishments plus she is a really nice person. Please check out her blog at www.dianeknottsmusings.blogspot.com. you will be glad you visited.  Thanks so much for the swap Diane!

Spring Paper projects

This Easter Egg Hunt layout was done a few years ago. I just love the colors and the details. I especially love the mini Easter baskets with all the tiny mini eggs. I loved having this egg hunt with my granddaughters. We had so much fun that day with all our family members.  It was a great family reunion

This was a project I did last week. I made fifty of those little boxes for a church women's organization called Relief Society.  I just love the way these look in this basket. These little boxes have a magnet on the back to attach to the refrigerator. A poem and quote are in each one.
Okay, this seriously was a quick thought. I was going to go visit my friend to pick something up and see her new creative space. I whipped this up to take to her, because I knew she would like the vintage feel. We just like the same things.  Wow her creative space is great and she has the most wonderful old hats and demonstrator dealer shoes from the 1920's.  And I was right, she did love her little Easter decoration.  Happy Easter to all!

New Vintage Easter Decorations

Number 1
I recently found these wonderful freebie prints and knew I had to do something with them for Easter. I knew that they had to be vintage, and once I got started, I could not stop. So I have three. One is for my living room to sit on this great sterling silver easel. Another one will be for a swap. And the other one will be listed in my Etsy Shop I am trying to get going. What do you think? I like them all! I can't decide.

My newest layout

When I saw these pictures that my daughter in-law took, I had to get a layout done right away. This is baby Ella Mae and she is soon to be 7 months old. I of course think she is one of the most beautiful adorable and lovable babies I have ever seen. I know, I know! I am the Grandmother, but seriously she is! I just had to use many feminine touches, on this layout, because, she just is the epitomy of feminity. Love this little girl. She is my seventh granddaughter.  She has the most beautiful blue eyes, so this one is titled "Those dazzling Baby blues"  What a little doll!  And way to go Tiffany for the wonderful photography.
