Every year around the first part of April, my friend Camille and I are asked to judge the scrapbooking and paper crafting entries at the Clark County Fair Juried exhibits. We enjoy it very much, and always get served the most beautiful luncheon, and earn two day passes to the fair. The picture above was actually taken a couple of years ago. Below are some of the pieces we have judged. Some of the cards are really beautiful and clever.
A chipboard album we liked alot.
This card was our favorite one this year! Love the owls, but the tree and the leaves made the whole card.
This one was so beautiful with its 3 dimensional stand up ability. Any mother would be so tickled with it!
This is one cute baby boy card. I love the way they used a punch at the bottom to resemble a furniture cabinet
I am a Mother of 8, grandmother of almost 27 wonderful little people. Married to a wonderful man for 38 years. I am a published scrapbooker, have decorated wedding cakes, made wedding dresses, had a wedding business, taught baton twirling lessons to girls for almost 40 years, and love to decorate my home inexpensively. I have always been a 'make-due' sort of person. I love dishes, teacups, teapots, and have to be creating something everyday. I love to listen to beautiful uplifting music and watch Masterpiece Theatre and Jane Austen movies while I scrap, craft or sew. I have become addicted to quilting, and dream about quilt blocks now. I am still working on getting better at this art form. I believe that Creating things with your hands is a good outlet and keeps your mind alert, and has a way of helping one lose all the cares of the day and world, right in my own little studio. Therefore I will never become a digital scrapbooker. I think that those who do digital turn out some beautiful pieces of art and lovely layouts, but for me I need to cut and paste by hand!
